Dumaguete’s First Reformer Pilates Studio and a Big Thank You to Our Amazing Community

When we first imagined Dumaguete Wellness, we didn’t just picture a studio. We imagined bringing wellness into a small city that deserves beautiful spaces, thoughtful movement, and access to equipment usually found only in Cebu or Manila. It meant bringing in expertise, not just a machine.
And with that vision, Dumaguete’s First Reformer Pilates studio was born.

Before this space was created and manifested, Pilates in Dumaguete mostly meant mat classes, home workouts, or traveling to bigger cities to experience what a Reformer session felt like.
There was curiosity. There was interest. But there was no place to experience it here.
The Reformer was always part of that dream.
We remember our very first setup. The empty room. The measuring tapes. The mirrors going up. The careful placement of the Reformers. How we started with just two machines and a handful of students — some of whom are still with us to this day — and how, little by little, both the studio and the community grew.
It was no longer just an idea, but something you could step into, touch, and move on.
And then came the very first class.
Nervous smiles. Curious faces. Laughter when the legs started shaking.
Questions like, “Is this supposed to be this hard?” and “Why do I feel muscles I didn’t know I had?”
You trusted us before you even knew what a Reformer really was.
And that trust means everything.
Because opening a studio was never about filling a room with machines. For us, it was about caring for our students, helping them move better, feel stronger, stand taller, and create a practice they could carry with them for life.

To everyone who stepped into this room, trusted the process, told a friend, showed up consistently, and became part of this journey — thank you.
This space, this growth, and this community exist because of you.
