Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout performed on a spring-based Pilates machine that supports and challenges your movement through controlled resistance. Every class focuses on building strength, improving flexibility, increasing stability, and developing better posture while staying gentle on your joints.

Unlike traditional workouts that rely on speed or heavy lifting, Reformer Pilates emphasizes quality movement, proper alignment, and mindful breathing. Classes are suitable for beginners, experienced practitioners, athletes, and active adults because every exercise can be modified to match your fitness level.

At Dumaguete Wellness, we keep our classes intentionally small so every member receives personal attention, hands-on guidance, and a welcoming studio experience.

Why Choose Dumaguete Wellness

What to Expect During Your First Reformer Pilates Class

Starting something new can feel intimidating, but your first class is designed to help you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.

We recommend arriving around 10 minutes before class so you can meet your instructor, become familiar with the equipment, and settle into the studio.

Wear comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are recommended for Reformer and Mat Pilates classes for added comfort and stability, but they are not required. Grip socks are available for purchase at the studio if you need a pair.

During Class

Your instructor will guide you through breathing, body positioning, spring settings, and every exercise. Because our classes are intentionally small, you'll receive individual guidance and modifications throughout your session.
